Preparing for a notarial act
Information for parties
A notarial act runs smoothly when the documents are gathered in advance. Below are the data and documents most often required — we will provide the exact list for a particular act once you contact the office.
Details of the parties
- given names, surname, parents’ names
- PESEL number and NIP (for business activity)
- address of residence and marital status
- valid identity document (ID card or passport)
- for companies — KRS number, articles of association, resolutions
Sale of real estate or premises
- land and mortgage register number
- basis of acquisition (notarial deed, court decision, deed of certification of inheritance)
- extract from the land register and, if needed, a cadastral map extract
- certificate on the designation in the local zoning plan
- tax office certificate — when the property was acquired by inheritance or donation
Certification of inheritance
- abridged copy of the testator’s death certificate
- certificate with the PESEL number of the deceased
- the testator’s wills — if they were drawn up
- abridged copies of the heirs’ birth and marriage certificates
Will, power of attorney, marital property agreement
- details of the person appointed as heir or of the attorney
- the scope of the power of attorney
- for marital property agreements — abridged copy of the marriage certificate
