Information clause for clients of the Notary Office

  1. Who processes your data

    Notary Ewa Cichowicz – Notary Office in Środa Śląska, ul. Św. Andrzeja 1a – has received from you information constituting personal data. It will be used solely for purposes connected with the notarial acts performed at your request, and in the fulfilment of duties arising from separate regulations related to those acts (for example collecting court fees and tax).

  2. Legal basis

    The notary acts on the basis of provisions of law imposing duties related to the office held and the tasks performed (this meets the requirements of Article 6(1)(b) and (e) and Article 9(2)(g), (f) and (j) of the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 – GDPR).

  3. Scope of the notary’s duties

    The detailed scope of the notary’s duties is defined by generally applicable law, in particular the Act of 14 February 1991 – Law on Notaries, as amended.

  4. Who the data is passed to

    The notary will pass your personal data to public authorities (for example courts and tax authorities) to the extent required to fulfil legal obligations.

  5. How long it is kept

    The notary has a legal obligation to keep your personal data for 10 years from the completion of the notarial act in connection with which the data was received.

  6. Is providing data obligatory

    The information constituting your personal data is used by the notary in connection with existing statutory requirements. This means you are obliged to provide the personal data necessary for the correct (lawful) performance of notarial acts. Refusing to provide this information makes performing the notarial act impossible.

  7. Your rights

    Under applicable law you may access the information constituting your personal data. You may also have it rectified, or request its erasure, where the Law on Notaries provides for this.

  8. Questions and doubts

    Should you have questions or doubts about the notary’s handling of information constituting your personal data, you may send them to the office’s e-mail address.

  9. Complaints

    Should you have objections to the notary’s handling of information constituting your personal data, you may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych).

This website

The site sets no cookies, which is why there is no cookie consent box here. Typefaces and scripts are served from our own server. The one exception is the map on the Contact page: your browser loads its pieces from OpenStreetMap servers, which see your IP address (OpenStreetMap privacy policy). The address of the page you are on is not passed to them.

Visits are counted by us, on the server. We store the address of the page visited and an irreversible hash made from the IP address and the browser — the IP address itself is never stored, and the hash changes every day, so it cannot identify anyone or follow them from one day to the next. Entries older than 400 days are deleted automatically.

There is no contact form — we accept messages by e-mail and by telephone.
